Lee Charles Griesemer Birth: Nov. 5, 1893 Death: 1959 Lee Griesemer-Pekin Daily Times, Sept 28, 1959 "Lee Griesemer, Hospitalized One Day, Dies HOPEDALE (C) --Lee Charles Griesemer, 65 year old Hopedale farmer, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Hopedale hospital where he had been a patient one day. Last rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic church of Hopedale. Rev. James Fey will officiate and burial will be in Orendorff cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Davis mortuary in Hopedale. Recitation of the rosary will be held in the mortuary at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The family requests tangible expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to a favorite charity. Memorial envelopes are available at the mortuary. Mr. Griesemer was born Nov. 5, 1893 at Hopedale, a son of Charles and Ida Booker Griesemer. He married Marzella Johnson at Peoria on May 4, 1921. He had farmed north of Hopedale the past 20 years.Surviving are his wife: a son, Leon, Hopedale; a daughter, Mary Jean, at home: three grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Naffziger, Hopedale, and Mrs. Vivian Weihmeir, Minier. Mr. Griesemer was a member of St. Joseph's church of Hopedale."
