  [S927] Obituary. Norma (Aman) Guthmiller MENNO -- Norma (Aman) Guthmiller, age 86, of Menno passed away Monday, November 1, 2004, at the South Dakota Heart Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004, at Salem Reformed UCC in Menno, SD with Rev. Michael Hecht officiating. Burial will be in the Menno Cemetery. Visitations will be from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at the Aisenbrey-Kostel Funeral Home, Menno with the family present at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Marvin Guthmiller, Darrel Guthmiller, Charles Aman, Jim Herrboldt, Myron Stoebner and Daryl Heckenlaible. Norma (Aman) Guthmiller was born December 31, 1917, to Jacob and Emilia (Mettler) Aman on a farm near Freeman, South Dakota. She was baptized by Rev. Zink and confirmed in the Reformed faith in July of 1932 by Rev. Zogg. Norma attended Freeman Public School. On August 31, 1941, she married Benjamin Guthmiller and they had one son, Ronald. They lived in Sioux Falls for a short time until Ben was drafted in the military service, she then moved to Freeman with her mother and brothers. After her husband's service was complete, they began farming southeast of Menno and then moved to the present farm location southwest of Menno. Norma enjoyed farm life and continued living there after Ben's passing in 1973. She was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed her family and grandsons. Norma loved animals and spending time in her flower garden. She filled her spare time by traveling on various tours and visiting those in the Care Center as well as calls and visits to her family and friends. Norma was a faithful member of Salem Reformed Church in Menno. She is survived by her son, Ronald of Menno, SD; two grandsons: Lee and Mark both of Menno, SD; one brother, LeRoy Aman of Freeman, SD; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and nieces and nephews.
