Johnstown PA, Tribune, March 8, 1913 Note this item was in poor condition and items in parenthises are "best guess" Mrs. Abrahm FYOCK of New Paris, Bedford County, wife of Abram FYOCK who with her husband came to Walnut Grove some weeks ago to visit (their) children, died at 10 o'clock last night at the residence of their son Samuel FYOCK of 960 Bedford street, of paralysis. She suffered a stroke of paralysis seven weeks ago and last Saturday evening was similarly afflicted., death being due to the last mentioned attack. Mrs FYOCK was aged 70 years, 2 moths and 2 days. Mrs. FYOCK whose maiden name was Nancy VARNER, was a daughter of Samuel J. and Katie GOOD VARNER and was born in Conemaugh Township this county where she spent the greater part of her life, she was a (sister) of Jacob VARNER, residing near Elton, Mrs. Samuel KNAVEL, residing near Salix, and Mrs. Sarah COVER, of Walnut Grove. A year ago Mr. and Mrs. FYOCK left Johnstown and located in New Paris. The surviving children are: S.H. of 940 Bedford street, J. W. of Bryan, O., John C., of Fort Wayne, Ind, Clarissa, wife of Scott WILSON, of Walnut Grove, Sadie, wife of Benjamin STRAYER, of Middle Taylor Township, and Elizabeth, the wife of Rev. John MILLS of Morrellville. The funeral will leave the FYOCK residence at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, going to the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren where services will be conducted by the Rev. (?) Rogers of Pleasantville, Bedford County. Interment will be (the rest of the item is missing!). Note: Two daughters, Emma and Lucy preceeded their mother in death.
