GLASER, Thomas GLASER, Thomas Joseph, 83, of Fountainview Nursing Home, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Bellaire, Ohio, passed away on October 4, 2007. Born in Bellaire on January 4, 1924, he was the youngest son and thirteenth child of Charles and Otilia (Fehrenbach) Glaser, who preceded him in death.After serving in World War II under General George Patton, Tom worked for the US Post Office in Bellaire and retired as the Postmaster in 1979. Tom was active in his church and his children?s schools. He was a member of Post 0052 of the American Legion for more than 60 years.Tom and Betty moved to Mishawaka in 2000, recently celebrated their 61st anniversary and now Betty resides at 530 W. Tanglewood Trace No. 315, Mishawaka, IN 46545. On May 8, 1946 Tom married the love of his life, Betty Lee Ford, at St. John?s Catholic Church in Bellaire. Betty and their seven children including, Jane Mason, Mishawaka, Mary Lou (Ray) Cressy, Mishawaka, Susan (Michael) Spadafora of Richboro, Pa., Rebecca (Michael) Muhlenkamp, Greenville, Ohio, Charles (Susan,) West Chester, Pa., Richard (Molly) Greensburg, Ind. and Robert (Dawn,) Holly Springs, N.C., all survive. Tom also has 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
