He was born October 9, 1906, at Lewisville, Monroe County, Ohio, son of the late Gus and Mary Kahrig Kilburn. He retired as production foreman after 28 years of service with the Coca-Cola Co. and was a member of Chalfant?s Chapel Methodist Church.He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Valentine Kilburn, on February 2, 1979. They were married June 1, 1927. Also deceased are a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Hayes, and two sisters, Estella Christman and Lydia Claus.Mrs. Kilburn leaves three daughters, Mrs. David (Donna) Campbell, Mrs. Alan (Pat) Rogers and Mrs. James (Nancy) English, all of Cambridge, Ohio; a brother, Freeman Kilburn of Lewisville, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Armstrong of Alliance, Ohio; a nephew whom he raised, Arthur Valentine of Byesville, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a good friend, Opal Tucker of Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Thorn Funeral Home, where services will be Friday, August 12, at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Forrest Lamneck officiating.
