Francis X. Fabacher, Jr., born March 9, 1927, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015, surrounded by his wife, family and friends. He was the beloved husband of 60 years of E. Jeanne Bechac Fabacher, father of the late Kenneth F. Fabacher and grandfather of Kenneth F. Fabacher, Jr., Nicole Azelie Fabacher and Jeffrey Michael Verret Fabacher, and the Great-grandfather of Kenneth Emile Fabacher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Mary Nesser and Francis X. Fabacher, Sr. Frank is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all who adored him. Frank graduated from St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, MS. After serving in the Army in WWII and marrying Jeanne, he was one of the founding members of the Third District Fire Department in River Ridge, Louisiana. Frank retired from McKesson Chemical where he worked as an operations manager. He was a long-time member of St. Matthew the Apostle Usher Society and a faithful supporter of the Church. Always a family man, Frank cherished spending time with his grandchildren, niece and nephews. He spent countless hours playing with the kids (young and old) with his model trains and barbequing at the Log Cabin. He loved to meet his extended family at McDonalds every Sunday after Mass and socialize for hours. Simply put, Frank was a man that everyone wanted to be with and was deeply loved by all who knew him! We will all miss his contagious laugh and his fiery spirit. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge, on Thursday, June 11, at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frank's name to St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge, LA 70123 or Saint Stanislaus, 304 S. Beach Boulevard, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520.
