She was born Oct. 10, 1923 in Lewisville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Franklin and Amelia Harper Neuhardt.Olive was a member of the Church of Christ, and formerly active in the Smithfield Homemakers and the Smithfield Garden Club.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgin Carpenter.Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Jerome) Self of Montgomery, Ala., Pamela (Michael) Reeves of Barnesville; a son, Mark (Sharon) Carpenter of Smithfield; a sister, Adrianne Winland of Lewisville, Ohio and a brother, James Neuhardt of Bat Cave, N.C.Friends will be received Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 702 East Main St., Barnesville, Ohio, where services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial in Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
