Norman Hoff Norman R. Hoff, 91, of Swansea, Ill., born Thursday, Feb. 7, 1918, in Tripp, South Dakota, went to his heavenly home Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill. Mr. Hoff was the beloved husband of Mary Irene for 63 years. He served in the Army during World War II, worked as a grocer for A&P and was a Deacon at Winstanley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Jr. and Lydia, nee Guthmiller, Hoff; six brothers and three sisters Surviving are his wife, Mary Irene, nee Carneal, Hoff; son, Paul N. (Kim) Hoff of Lebanon, Ill.; daughter, Janet L. Wilson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sister, Edna Heisinger of Mitchell, S.D.; and grandchildren, Danyelle Hoff, Brittany Hoff, Stacey Wilson, Lesley Wilson, and Courtney Wilson. In our hearts and in our thoughts, he will be remembered every day. Memorials may be made to the Winstanley Baptist Church. Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill. Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Dr. Steve Phillips officiating.
