  BIOGRAPHY: Theresa VerMaas sorrelgirl@hotmail.com Notes for BARBARA BOOS: After Joseph Weis had been in the U.S. for a few years, he sent money back to Germany for his girlfriend Barbara's passage to the U.S. Unfortunately, her trip took three months because the ship was blown off course and ended up in the southern Atlantic near South America. Because of this, all the passengers were put on reduced rations of water and food as the ship worked its way up the Atlantic coast to New York city.
