A farmer, he was born Oct. 9, 1909 in Enoch Township, Noble County, a son of Edward and Anna Nau Crock. He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic church of Caldwell and Father Klueber Council of Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, the former Freda Noll, four daughters, Rita Smithberger of Reynoldsburg, Rosemary Schott of Bolivar, Debra Stottsberry of Smithville and Barbara Crock of Zanesville; two sons, Kenneth of Caldwell and Fred of Marietta; four brothers, Roman, Albert and Linus, all of Caldwell, and Andrew of Zanesville; three sisters, Alma Tipton and Rose Cornett, both of Zanesville, and Elizabeth Roehrig of Canton, and 15 grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Estadt Funeral Home in Caldwell where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephens Catholic church with Monsignor Lawrence Luciana officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell.
