SR., 77 of Louisville passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, a retired member of Teamsters Local 783 and a member of the St. Martin Brotherhood for over 50 years. He coached Germantown Little League Baseball for 18 years. He retired from Southeastern Dairies, and he enjoyed fishing, "the boat" and he was an avid UK fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Elsie Kadler Strothman; and two sisters, Martha Huber and Rita Casey. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, the former Mary Ann Adams; five children, Donald Strothman Jr. (Rose), Cheryl Hall (Mike), Steve Strothman (Carolyn), Karen Kargl (Tom) and Doug Strothman (Tammy); brothers, James R. (Pam) and Raymond G. (Carolyn) Strothman; sister, Janice Oberhausen (Lee); 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of Hosparus, Libby, Susan, Kathy and Amy for their loving care. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret avenues, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
