Bio: Robert E. Kindred, age 86, Webb City, formerly of Kansas City, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at a hospital in Fayetteville, AR.
Robert was born September 27, 1920 in Edwardsville, KS, son of the late John Kindred and Mabel Anderson Kindred. He graduated from Edwardsville High School, and served in the United States Marine Corp. He was stationed in China during World War II where he was with the Marine Air Force Ordinance. He worked in Elevator Construction, mainly in the Kansas City area, retiring in 1980 after 40 years of service at which time he moved to Webb City. He was a member of the Elevator Construction Union, Chapter #12, of Kansas City, MO. He was a member of the Edwardsville Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy L. Schneck Kindred of the home; daughter, Jeanette Moffett and husband Jim of Webb City; grandchildren, Christie Allen of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Hartley and husband David of Webb City, and Kim Lewis of Oxford, CT; great-grandchildren, Caleb Allen of Phoenix, Garen Hartley and Joran Hartley both of Webb City.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
