Bio: Bobby Porter Howard, 79, of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Macon, MO passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
Bobby was born on November 16, 1938 in Macon, the son of Charles Olen and Dora Frances (Porter) Howard. Bobby served in the U.S. Air Force.
On December 18, 1964 he was united in marriage to Judith E. Anderson, she preceded him in death on October 25, 2002. He later married Linda Kay Borttoff/Nichols, she survives.
Bobby retired from Con-Agra after working there for 33 years. He was a member of the Callao Christian Church and later a member of the Representatives of Christ Fellowship in St. Joseph. Bobby enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Linda; two children, Joan Kirtley and her husband Kevin of O?Fallon, IL, and Jeff Howard and his wife Lisa of Salisbury, MO; four step-children, Mike Nichols and his wife Tami of St. Joseph, Paul Ontiveros of St. Joseph, Tammy Munoz and her husband JR of Riverside, CA, and Kim Hawkins and her husband Scott of St. Joseph, his grandchildren, Jarod Smith, Joel Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Kenny Howard, Justin Howard, and Jaden Howard; step-grandchildren, Kaden Kirtley, and Starr Kirtley; also 11 other step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mike Howard and his wife Connie and Denny Howard and his wife Rhonda, one sister, Karen Hall and her husband Chuck, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Judith; one brother, Corky Howard, and one sister, Peggy M. Fuller.
Funeral services were Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Pastor Rob Diamond officiating. Burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Callao.
