CENTRAL ILLINOIS Vandeventer TUSCOLA JoAnne Marie Grimm Vandeventer, 42, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 5:18 AM, Wednesday, Decem ber 29, 2004 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January JoAnn Vandeventer 1, 2005 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Allen Kemme as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Friday, December 31, 2004 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. A Vigil Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, Illinois JoAnne was born on June 25, 1962 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Delbert I. and Lucille C. Meinhart Grimm. She married Michael G. Vandeventer on June 1, 2002 in Tuscola, IL. He survives. Other survivors include: 1 Daughter: Alexis Lee "Lexi" Vandeventer at home, 3 Step-Sons: Joshua Vandeventer, Jared Vandeventer, and Joseph Vandeventer all of Tuscola, IL, 4 Brothers: Richard Grimm and wife; Barbara of Savoy, IL, Chuck Grimm and wife; Janet of Decatur, IL, Doug Grimm Of Hugo, EL, Jim Grimm and wife: Mindy of Tuscola, EL, 5 Sisters: Pat Davis and husband: Gary of Broken Arrow, OK, Joyce Amacher and husband; Lyle of Savoy, EL, Donna Franklin and husband: Joe of Mahomet, EL, Peggy Day of Tuscola, EL, Lisa Gibson and husband: Eric of Tuscola, EL, She was preceded in death by: her Parents, 1 Brother: Lee Grimm, 1 Nephew: Joseph Franklin JoAnne was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Tuscola, EL. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a 1980 Graduate of Tuscola Community High School. She received her degree in Child Care Development from Parkland College, Champaign, Illinois. She was an assistant for many years with the Miss Tuscola Contest, Little Miss Sweetheart and Little Miss Tuscola contests. She was a member of the Tuscola Chamber of Commerce She helped with the Easter Egg Hunt, Prettiest Baby Contest, Old Fashioned Days Pet Parade, and the Fourth of July activities. She was the former head librarian at the Tuscola Public Library. She was a former preschool teacher in Areola, IL. Most recently she was a child care provider in her home. She loved to make other's happy and decorating for the holidays. She never knew a stranger and her family and friends were very important to her.
