He was 72.He was born January 21, 1935 in Evansville, IN to William Jacob and Irene Clara (Yestingsmeir) Rapp.He was a graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School Class of 1952 and then attended John Herron Art Institute for two years.He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1964. Mr. Rapp was a plate maker for the Indianapolis Star from 1974 to 2002. He also served as a security guard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for several years. He was a private airline pilot and an accomplished scuba diver.Surviving him are two sons, Michael Paul Rapp of Indianapolis, and Brian Keith Rapp of Peru, IN; brothers, William Jacob Charles Rapp of Florida, and Larry Richard Rapp of Indianapolis; sister, Jeanine Kenipe of Monrovia, IN; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were Saturday, June 16th, at Hartley Funeral Homes, Cicero Chapel. Pastor Neal Brown will officiate.
