Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery.Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Bring's Broadway Chapel, Tucson, with rosary at 5:00 p.m.--------------------------------------------------------------------courtesy of Bring's Broadway Chapel:Mary Alice Fields, 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2015, in Tucson, Arizona.Mary was born September 26, 1916, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Sebastian and Lillian Riedford.She married the late Robert James Fields on November 18, 1939, in Evansville.Mrs. Fields moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1959 with her husband Robert and their 4 children. Mary had a devout faith in God and was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tucson. She Robert also spent many active years together in Tucson with a shared passion for square dancing with the Old Pueblo Square Dance Center. Mary was also talented with regards to sewing, gardening, and loved to play card games with her grandchildren and travel the world with her husband and their friends.Mary is also preceded in death by her sister, Ann Vasquez; and by one great-granddaughter, Jamie Arnold.She is survived by one brother, Jim Riedford (June) of Evansville; three sisters, Kitty Gleason of Tucson, Evelyn Miller (Merle) of Tucson, and Betty Cook of Phoenix, AZ; four children and their spouses, Robert Fields Jr. (Nugget) of Kasson, MN, Michael Fields (Patricia) of Prescott, AZ, Dianne Arnold (Eddie) of Tucson, and John Fields (Deborah) of Vail, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 additional great-grandchildren expected in November.
