Christian Brenkert Of St. Joseph Dies Christian Brenkert, 80, a "life long Berrien county resident, died at 3:20 p. m. Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Howard Ludlam, 903 Wolcott avenue, St. Joseph, after an illness of one month. He was born Feb. 27, 1865. in Niles and had lived in Baroda and vicinity until 1925, when he moved to St. Joseph. He was a carpenter and had belonged to the Odd Fellows lodge in Baroda. His wife, Ida, died 18 years ago. Mr. Brenkert leaves his daughter, Mrs. Howard Ludlam, and one granddaughter, Shirley Ludlam. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Congregational church of Baroda. The Rev. Frederick Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Ruggles cemetery of Baroda.
