Chuck was born on October 20, 1927, the son of the late Edith Schueltz and Howard Eugene Ward. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 29 years, Dorothy "Dot-tie" (Harrah) Ward and his children, Charles E. (Ramona), Jr., Sharon (Robert) Price, Joyce (Andrew) Schmid, Jana (Shawn) Grusofsky and Jill . Ward. He also leaves behind his sister, Edith W. (Joseph) Gardy and his sister-in-law, Inez Ward. He was the adoring Pap-Pap to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Chuck is also survived by other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Aleen Stuart Ward and his brother, Howard E. (Junie) Ward, Jr. Chuck was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in their West Pac Band. Chuck was a City firefighter for 24 years. He was a member of the Whitehall U.P. Church, the Mt. Washington VFW Post 5111, American Legion Post 694, the FranklinSt. John'sTrinity Masonic Lodge 221, the CINOSAM Club of Mt. Washington, Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Commandery 1 Knights Tempolar, Zerubbabel-Duquesne Royal Arch Chapter 162 and a trumpet player in the Syria Shrine Brass Band for over 50 years. He will remain in our hearts forever. There will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Whitehall U.P. Church, 4935 E. [S864] Pennsylvania, Marriages, 1852-1968.
