Mike Kill and Mamie E. (Louth) Kill Hoersten. On Feb 24, 1968, he married Marlene C. Deitering, who preceded him in death.Surviving are five sons: Mark A. (Terri) Ernst, St. Marys, Michael D. (Carrie) Kill, Brownsburg, Gerald D. "Gary" (Tammy) Kill, Lima, and Todd J. and Rocky J. Kill, both Spencerville; a daughter, Lisa A. (Bill) Deibler, Spencerville; four brothers: David M. (Etta) and Glen F. (Maggie), both Landeck, Stanley L., Delphos, and Roger J. (Pamm), Venedocia; three sisters: Gloria L. "Sadie" (William) Bourk, Lima, and Evelyn "Evie" M. (Robert) Mills and Phyllis "Phud" L. (Jim) Calvelage, both Delphos; and ten grandchildren: Tabitha, Colt, Anna, Allison, Trevor, Mallary, Jordan, Andrew, Harrison and Hope.He was a plumber and pipefitter for Local 776, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Spencerville. He drove a race car for Suever Stone Quarry in the Little 500 in 1955 at Landeck Speedway. He was past commander of Spencerville American Legion Post 191, where he was a life member. He was also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Spencerville, and a member of the Eagles and Orioles. He was an avid baseball and softball player in his youth. He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving in the Philippines during the Korean War.Funeral services will be at Chiles and Sons-Laman Shawnee Chapel, with the Rev. John Fleck officiating.
