Charles Steidler Charles T. Steidler, 62, Davenport, formerly of Albert Lea, Minn., died Thursday, May 18, 1995, in Davenport. Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea. Burial is in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea, with military rites conducted by Albert Lea Veterans Organization. Memorials may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Mr. Steidler was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Teaneck, N.J., the son of Edmond and Dorothy Thompson .Steidler. He attended Mankato State University and the University of Minnesota. He was employed at Gibson Discount Stores in Wisconsin until his retirement. . He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant; Albert Lea Jaycees, the Lions and Optimist clubs, both in Mount Pleasant. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and had an appreciation for fine art. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed baseball, football and hockey. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie Steidler-Dennison and Tony Dennison, Iowa City, and Lynn Steidler-Th-ompson and Richard Thompson, Des Moines; sons and a daughter-in-law, Ed Steidler and Thomas and Karen Steidler, all of Davenport; two grandchildren; a sister, Mary Fenger, New Richland, Minn.; brothers, William Steidler, Eyota, Minn., and Thomas Steidler, New Richland; and his former wife, Bonnie Steidler, Davenport.
