Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Riverview.Philomena Riehl was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Raleigh, daughter of Adolf and Appolonia (Schreiner) Riehl. She grew up in Raleigh and graduated from high school in Elgin in 1941. Her family moved to Bismarck and she attended Bismarck College of Business. She worked at the North Dakota State Capitol in the Motor Vehicle Department from 1943 to 1948. She later worked as a bookkeeper at Klein Lumber Company, a career that lasted for 33 years. Philomena married Marcus A. Schneider on Feb. 12, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bismarck.Philomena was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, Eagles Auxiliary and was a volunteer at St. Alexius for 20 years. She was also a member of the President's Club of the University of Mary.Philomena is survived by her husband, Marcus, Fargo; two daughters, Claudia (Gary) Pramhus, Fargo, and Reesie (Jim) Fasbender, Grand Forks; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, Craig; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
