Mr. Ruppert was born in Huntington,IN on October 6, 1945, to Paul and Irene (Miller) Ruppert. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1963. In 1965 he was drafted into the Army and then served thirteen months in Korea. He went on to earn two associate degrees from Ivy Tech. He worked at Memcor where he met his wife Marcia Hall and they married on August 23, 1969 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington, IN. Yetive worked at Sealtest for two years and then went on to work for the United States Postal Service in Huntington. He retired after 33 years from the Post Office in 2006. He then moved to Ohio to be closer to family. Yetive was involved in Boy Scouts, coached youth basketball , and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington. He enjoyed farming, fishing, the outdoors, and spending quality time with his family. Yetive is survived by his wife Marcia; three sons, Gerald (Aaron)Y. Ruppert, Lake Orion, MI, Eric(Gwen)W. Ruppert , Ft. Wayne, IN., and Benjamin (Theresa)R. Ruppert, Chesterfield Twp., MI; a daughter Mrs. Matthew(Elizabeth) Manges, Perrysburg, OH; three brothers, David (Carolyn) Ruppert, Huntington, IN, Phillip(Sharon) Ruppert, Andrews, IN, and Ronald(Janet) Ruppert, Huntington, IN; a sister, Mrs. Shirley Palmer and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Ruppert, his mother, Irene (Miller) (Ruppert) Wappes, his stepfather, Lawrence E. Wappes, and a brother Meredith Ruppert. Calling hours will be on Sunday, September 25, 2014 from 2:00p.m. ? 6:00p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750. Recitation of the Rosary will start the calling hours at 2:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N Jefferson St. Huntington, IN 46750. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Father David Ruppert presiding.
