LINDENMEYER, RALPH E. Ralph E. Lindenmeyer, 91, died suddenly, but peacefully on March 20, 2012 at his home in Vista. He was born in San Diego. He loved life, family, friends and country. His achievements, services and hobbies were many; graduate San Diego High School, U.S. Navy World War II/ Pearl Harbor Survivor and Korean War Veteran, first mayor of Cupertino, Ca., 30 years printer for the SD Union/Tribune, St. John the Evangelist parish member and school coach, State Chairman, Chaplain and Speaker with the Pearl Harbor Survivors, technical consultant on the 2001 movie Pearl Harbor, 20 years senior softball in two states and volunteered where needed. Ralph was blessed with two beautiful marriages; Lenore (Moran) for 57 years (RIP 2001) and Suzanne (Wakerly) 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Wakerly; son, Tom (Kathleen) Lindenmeyer; daughters, Gail (Jim) Baker; Joanie Lindenmeyer (Carol), Terri (Billy) Stewart; six grandkids, three great-grandkids, two sisters, Evelyn (Loran) Matzen and Wilma (Jim) Costello, and many dear nieces and nephews and hundreds of special life-long friends in San Diego, Ca. and in Homer Glen, Il. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 525 W. Vista Way, Vista, CA 92083, April 18th, at 10 a.m. Arrangements are pending for interment with Military Honors at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's name may be made to Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Carnation Chapter 3, San Diego, CA.
