Death was due to a complication of diseases incident to old age. Deceased was 83 years of age and was born in Bavaria, Germany. He came to this country when 19 years of age and located in Monroe County, Ohio near Woodsfield. Surviving him are five sons, Joseph, John, Leo and Charles Glaser of Martins Ferry, and Jacob Glaser of Braddock, Pennsylvania and three daughters, Mrs. Charles Schumacher of Woodsfield; Mrs. Charles Reasbeck of Martins Ferry, and Sister Angelia of Delano, Minnesota. He has one brother in Germany. Thirty grandchildren and 18 great-grand children also survive. The remains were brought to Woodsfield and taken to the home of his daughter Mrs. Charles Schumacher where they were tenderly cared for until Saturday morning when they were conveyed to the Catholic Church and after services conducted by the Reverend Francis Seeber were laid to rest in the Church cemetery.
