Obituary
Zella "Wayne" Renyer, 93, formerly of Union County, Indiana, passed away Tuesday evening, June 27, 2017 at The Knolls of Oxford.
One of nine children of Alec and Martha Anderson Carroll, Wayne was born on December 28, 1923 in Howson, Mississippi. She graduated Valedictorian of her class at Saucier High School.
On March 16, 1944, she married Charles Renyer in Gulfport, Mississippi whom she met while he was serving in the United States Army Air Corps at Keesler Field Air Force Base. Following his honorable discharge, they moved to Bath, Indiana. Mr. Renyer passed away on November 3, 1999.
Wayne was the Banquet Supervisor at the Hueston Woods Lodge for over 24 years. She was a member of Bath United Methodist Church and a volunteer for the Union County-College Corner Joint School District for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Patti (Bill) Carmine of Richmond, Virginia, Rhonda Renyer of Chillicothe, Ohio, Lisa (Rick) Crane of Liberty, Indiana; four grandchildren, Denise (Eric) Walter, Shawna (Doug) Adams, Andrea (Landon) Coyle, Rachel Crane; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
Besides her husband of over 57 years, Charles Renyer, Wayne was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Dean Francis Renyer; a grandson, Scott Carmine; four brothers; and two sisters.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at The Knolls of Oxford, 6727 Contrearas Road, Oxford, Ohio. Pastor Mick Miller will officiate. A private burial service will be in College Corner Cemetery prior to the service. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, Connersville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
