Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.Joseph was born June 27, 1917, to Jacob and Margaret (Flink) Weber in Ashley. He came to Oliver County in 1920 as a child and was raised and educated in Oliver County. He married Eva Ferderer on July 1, 1940, at St. Vincent's Church at Crown Butte. He retired from farming and ranching in 1976 and moved to Mandan.Joseph was socially active in the Eagles and Moose clubs, where Eva and he spent many hours with friends and family playing cards there. Joseph did some cooking but most of all he and Eva loved traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Florida Bush Gardens and Canada. These tours where organized with the Farmers Union. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden, especially tomatoes and potatoes.Joseph will be deeply missed by his children, Jim (Loretta), Bismarck, Jerry (Delores), Center, and Audrey Wingerter, Bismarck; his grandchildren, Cynthia (Arnie) Urlacher, Karen (Mark) Gutnecht, Brenda (Jason) Nordstrom, Cherie (Rob) Mastel, Ryan Weber, LaRae (Joe) Stark, James (Debbie Gross) Weber and Stacy (Josh) Duncan; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva, who died in 2002; his parents; two great-grandchildren, Austin James and Aidyn Brenton; his sisters, Clementine Ferderer, Anna and Bertha; and his brothers, John and Ralph.
