Leroy H. DannerLeroy H. Danner, age 97, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, following a lengthy illness. He was born March 11, 1908, son of the late Oliver and Edith (Eisenbrei) Danner and was a life resident of Massillon. He was a brick layer and mason contractor for over 50 years and a member of Brick layers union Local #6 of Canton. He was also a member of St. Barbara Parish Church. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Barbara Danner of Mesa, AZ, and Tom and Marilyn Danner of Glenmont, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Thomas Laughlin of Tucson, AZ, and Kathy and Jay Montgomery of Boulder, CO; a sister, Mary Lewis of Massillon; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife to whom he was married for 54 years, Mary (Hammer) Danner who died Oct. 16, 1989; a great-grandson Michael J. Danner died May 1, 2005; one brother and four sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Oct. 10, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Barbara Church with Fr. Thomas Cebula celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Barbara Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St. N.E., Massillon.
