She was baptized into the Lutheran faith at an early age and was confirmed at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, on Palm Sunday, April 5, 1925. She grew up on the family farm 14 miles northwest of Wishek, and received her elementary education in rural Logan County schools.She married Franz Frank Oct. 9, 1929. They lived and farmed in the rural Wishek–Burnstad, N.D. area, for many years. In 1955 they moved to Wishek, where she worked at Krein Hotel for a year and in the produce section at Herr Mercantile for several years before retiring due to ill health. He died Nov. 18, 1986. In March 1998 she entered Wishek Nursing Home, Wishek.She was a former member of Salem Lutheran Church, rural Wishek, where she served as organist for five years and as a Sunday school teacher for four years. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, where she was active in Ladies Aid and sang with the church choir and women's chorus for 16 years.She is survived by a son, Elmer (Mary Ann), Auburn, Calif.; three daughters, Arlys (Clem) Fowler, Bismarck, Shirley (Lloyd) Weisenburger, Lester Prairie, Minn., and Eunice (Norbert) Kaman, Echert, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and four sisters.Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, with the Rev.
