Mrs Weishampel was born August 2, 1919 in Lakewood and moved to Avon Lake in 1955.Mrs. Weishampel was a 1936 graduate of Lakewood High School. She worked as a secretary for various companies, most notable for the Avon Lake Public Schools as a secretary to the school psychologist for over 20 years. She was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years and also sang in the church choir. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travel. She collected bells and geodes. She was described as someone devoted to her family.Mrs Weishampel is survived by two sons and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Wilbur Weishampel, whom she married July 5, 1947; her parents, Clifton and Lidia (nee Neibsch) Bailey, and an infant brother, Wilbur Weishampel.Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd, Avon Lake, Thursday, August 9th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be Friday at the funeral home at 10am. Reverend Kelly Peters of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate.
