MRS. M. REIMCHE PASSES AWAY ( Magdalena Goehring )
Mrs. Magdalena Reimche passes away Saturday evening at the home of her son, Herbert Reimche on Walnut Ave., with whom she had made her home for the past eight years.
Mrs. Reimche was a native of Kassel, Odessa, Russia, where she was born Sept. 6, 1869, coming to the United States in 1885.
In 1886, she became the wife of the late Ludwick Reimche, the marriage taking place in Menno, S Dakota. In 1898 they moved to Harvey, ND, where he worked as a blacksmith. In 1908, they came to Calif., locating on a ranch near Woodbridge. Mr. Reimche passed away on Feb. 3, 1920. After the ranch was sold, the family home was made at 519 East Lodi Ave. in 1930.
Mrs. Reimche was the mother of Mrs. Emma Christman, George Reimche, Herbert Reimche, Marvin Reimche all of Lodi; Mrs. Louise Fontana, Stockton; Louis Reimche, Stockton; Robert Reimche, San Leandro; Albert Reimche, Canada; Mrs. Christine Seibel, Reedley; Mrs. Bertha Capell, Santa Ana; Mrs. Martha Reinhart, Modesto.
Mrs. Reimche was also the sister of Mrs. Elizabeth Barrett, Menno, SD; and Edward Goehring, Lodi. She leaves 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She had been a member of the Ladies Aid of the First Baptist Church of Lodi.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30pm from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. A. S. Felberg and the Rev. R. Seibel of Reedley officiating. Arrangements are in charge of Hale & Bawden.
