"Bud" Scherer, 74, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a retired farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney. Surviving are his wife, Audrey (Smith); two sons, Eldon and Robert A.; a brother, Ronald; a sister, Anita Clodfelter; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, burial in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Claremont. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner.
