Elm, Olney, died at 4:46 p.m. Monday, July 16, in Burgin Manor East. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Kaitschuk presiding. Visitation will be 7-9 Wednesday. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery. Mr. Sager was born Feb. 6, 1907, in Richland County, the son of David Oliver and Cora Alice (Sager) Sager. He married Flossie Scherer, Feb. 28, 1928, in Olney, and she preceded him in death April 29, 1974. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a charter member of the Rich Law Service Company, Prairie Farms, and Richland County Farm Bureau. He served the latter organization as president. He established the Happy Workers 4H Club in 1939. He was also member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Olney, and Paul, Claremont; a daughter, Carol King, Austin, Texas; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Nellie Nease. Obituary from Olney Daily Mail.
