Funeral services will be Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church. with burial at Goss Cemetery. Mr. Scherer was born in Richland County on December 26,1889, the son of Fred and Malissa Hanes Scherer. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a veteran of WWI. Mr. Scherer is survived by one sister, Erma Beck of Olney; one nephew, Samuel Beck of Olney; two great nieces, Connie Beck and Carol Ederer; one great-great nephew,, Brian Ederer.
