Birth: Apr. 18, 1887 Richland County Illinois, USA Death: May 3, 1959 Richland County Illinois, USA Mrs. Ina E. Decker, 72, wife of Orin J. Decker, passed away Sunday night at the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Beck, on Rural Route 2, She bad been in ill health for several months. Mrs. Decker was born in Richland County, the daughter of Frederick and Melissa Hanes Scherer. She had lived her entire lifetime in the St. James community, northeast of Olney. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Her survivors are her husband, who is now a patient at the VA Hospital in Marion; a sister, Mrs. Erma Beck; and a brother, Orin Scherer, both of Olney. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney, with Pastor Karl M. Fritz officiating. Interment was in Goss Cemetery. The Summers - Wilson Funeral Home was in charge. Taken from the Olney Advocate, May 7, 1959.
