Florence Pauline Dietrich, 74, Chanute, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, Chanute.
She was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Burlington, the daughter of Alva and Olive Shults Richards.
She was a graduate of Chanute High School and later received a degree from Wichita Business School in data processing.
She was the manager of Peter Pan, Humboldt, and was later employed at the Chanute Tribune. She retired in 1984 from her position as office manager at Glass Specialty, Chanute.
She was a member of the Humboldt Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling.
On June 17, 1945, she married Raymond Witten. They later divorced.
On Sept. 13, 1973, she married Leo Dietrich. He died Jan. 9, 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Witten, Springfield, Mo., and Mark Witten, Chanute; a daughter, Kathy Witten, Republic, Mo.; three brothers, Don Richards, Adalanto, Calif., Dean Richards, Wellington, and Kenneth Richards, LaHarpe; two care-givers, Trudy Witten and Jackie Klauman, Chanute; five step-children, Richard, Jackie, Larry, Cindy and Linda; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Richards, and a sister, Thelma Tilman.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Johnson Kunkel Mortuary, Humboldt. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Humboldt.
