Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, with the Rev. Alan Milligan will be officiating. Burial will be in Cache Chapel Cemetery near Ullin. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Published in The Southern Illinoisan on Jan. 24, 2014 *** Richard "Dick" Brown, age 82, of Karnak, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 9:59 am at the Union County Hospital in Anna. Richard was born March 21, 1931 in Cairo, IL. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Karnak. He had served in the US Army stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. He had retired as the President and CEO of the First State Bank of Grand Chain. He is preceded in death by his wife, Zona Gale Beggs Brown; one son, Richard Randall Brown and his parents, Arthur Robert (Danny) and Reba Jones Brown. He is survived by a sister, Sue McClellan of Grand Chain, IL; one brother, James R. (Bob) Brown and wife Elaine of Huntsville, Alabama, and several nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 am, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Rev. Alan Milligan will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Cache Chapel Cemetery near Ullin. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10 till 11 at the funeral home.
