Ninth Ave., Tarentum, died Sunday (oct. 18, 1992) at 10:56 p.m. in the emergency room of Allegheny Valley Hospital Natrona Heights, Harrison. Born April 27, 1927, in Tarentum, he lived in the borough his entire life. He served in the Navy Seabees during World War II. Mr. Silliman was a shipper at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge Works, for 42 1/2 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Tarentum VFW, Moose and Eagles, and the Brackenridge American Legion. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Betty Jane Clark Silliman; three sons, James H. Silliman and Thomas A. Silliman, both of Tarentum, and Mark R. Silliman at home; three grandchildren; and two brothers, William Silliman of Natrona Heights and Clifford Silliman of Brackenridge. His parents, Clifford and Phillippine Weber Silliman, preceded hime in death. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ALBERT H. DUSTER AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Community Ambulance Service, 100 fifth Ave., Tarentum, 15084. Family links: Parents: Clifford V.
