Panizzi, 81, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, in the Victoria House, Monessen. She was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Donora, the daughter of Louis and Edith Elaine Reasbeck Gedeon. Elaine graduated from Donora High School. She retired from U.S. Steel after 35 years of employment and was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish (formerly St. Anthony's) of Monongahela. Elaine loved traveling to visit her sisters in Ohio. She enjoyed watching the Steelers, bowling and ceramics. She is survived by two sisters, LaVerne Kuma of Donora, and Trudy Hughes of Parma Heights, Ohio; special niece, Lisa Whisker; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo F. Panizzi, who died July 6, 2007; five brothers, Louis, Donald, Paul, Raymond and Glenn Gedeon; and three sisters, Lois Rea, Collette DiPiazza and Carolyn Naccarato. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Parish with the Rev. William Terza, pastor, as celebrant. Committal services and inurnment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Father Leger Memorial Fund, 722 W. Main Street, Monongahela, PA. 15063.
