He has lived at his home in Summitville for the past 44 years.He was a long time member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he taught CCD classes for many years. He was a Eucharistic minister and was a charter member and financial secretary for the Knights of Columbus.He graduated from Gannon University in Erie, Pa in 1960. He worked at U S Steel, Pratt Manufacturing, the Columbiana County Career Center and Lisbon Hoist. He was a member of the Family and Community Services Board in Lisbon, Ohio. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army.Jerry was an immensely talented and creative cook for his family, one could never leave the house without a jar of his homemade soup. He was a firm believer of carrying on family traditions; he did this by making wine and sauerkraut every year with family. Jerry had many interests, including genealogy, history, woodworking, gardening, bicycling and golf. Jerry and Sandy also loved travelling to many destinations such as Italy, Germany, Hawaii and California. He was also an avid car enthusiast.Survivors include his wife Sandy Beryle (Shaffer) Muck whom he married 24 March 1961 in Lorain, Ohio; seven children; thirteen grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a brother and a sister.Calling hours will be Friday, May 27, 2016 at Maple-Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington. A Knights of Columbus service will start at 8pm.
