He attended school in McIntosh County, N.D. He farmed near Fredonia for 61 years. On June 20, 1948, he married Violet Huse. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Gregory (Tresia) Fredonia, Bruce, Lehr, N.D., Donald (Kristin), Rolette, N.D.; a daughter, Paulette (Richard) Clifton, Johnson Creek, Wis.; a brother, Alvin (Irene), Fredonia; four sisters, Esther Fuchs, Jamestown, N.D., Adeline Fuchs, Edna Weispfenning, both Fredonia, Etala Mae (Darrel) Ruff, Willmar, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: Today from 10 to 8, with a prayer service at 7:30, in Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm. Funeral: Saturday at 10:30 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Fredonia. Burial: Martin Luther Lutheran Cemetery near Fredonia.
