  [S927] Obituary. WANNER, John P. b. 1 Aug 1877 - Russia d. Jul 1951 From The Dickinson ND Press 11 Jul 1951, Services for John P. Wanner, 74, were held on Tuesday, July 10, at the St. Pius church in Schfield with the Reverend B. Damus officiating at the service. Mr. Wanner passed away at his home on July [date missing], from a heart condition after an illness of three months. He was a retired farmer.Mr. Wanner was born in Russia on August 1, 1877. He came to the United States in 1898 and was married to Ottilia STICKA in Dickinson in 1902. Sixteen children were born to them; fourteen of them survive him besides his wife Ottilia. The children are Frank, Shefield; Florian, Killdeer; Jack, Dickinson; Casper, New England; Adam, Belfield; Mike, Shefield; Philip, Dickinson; John, Dickinson; Peter, Dickinson; Paul, New England; Sebastian, Dickinson; Louis, Dickinson; Lious, Dickinson; and Mrs. Florian Wandler of Dickinson. There are 57 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Wanner, who survive him.The Mischel funeral home was in charge of the funeral.
