Clementine Weiler
DICKINSON - Clementine Weiler, 94, Dickinson, died Oct. 15, 2009, at St. Benedict's Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday, Oct. 20, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Rev. Jim Braaten as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. MDT today at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and continue from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. MDT and 5 to 9 p.m. MDT Monday. A rosary and vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.
Clementine Frank was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Stark County, the daughter of Michael and Anna Mary (Hecker) Frank. She was raised and educated south of Dickinson and attended St. Pius Catholic School in Schefield.
Clementine married Joseph Weiler on Oct. 18, 1933, at St. Pius Catholic Church. They farmed south of New England until 1947, when they moved into Schefield and owned/operated Weiler's Grocery until 1969. In 1969, they moved into Dickinson, and Clementine worked at St. Joseph's Hospital for a period of time prior to retirement. When possible, she enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards, embroidery and quilting. She was a member of St. Pius Verein, Christian Mothers and St. Anthony.
Clementine is survived by seven children, Mary Binstock, Billings, Mont., Rose (Leonard) Pachl, Helena, Mont., Roman (Donna) Weiler, Mandan, Cecelia (Jim) Hirsch, Dickinson, Richard (Margie) Weiler, Dickinson, Sandy Pechtl, Dickinson, and Carol (Arnie) Gulka, Valley City; one sister, Veronica Kern, Mott; 20 grandchildren, Duane Binstock, Diane (Charlie) Lowe, Danny (Paula) Binstock, David (Brenda) Binstock, Danita (Roy) Murray, Junie (Jeff) Heil, Neal (Carol) Pachl, Greg (Trisha) Pachl, Tony (Sheila) Weiler, Joel (Melissa) Weiler, Mark (fiancee, Bobbi Brown) Weiler, Roxane (Rick) Marschner, Ryan Hirsch, Jeff (Beth) Weiler, Connie (Brent) Reinbold, Daryl (Susie) Pechtl, Dale Pechtl, Denise Pechtl, Amanda (Paul) Leavy and Amy Gulka; 32 great-grandchildren; one stepsister, Lena Heiser, Dickinson; and six sisters-in-law, Barbara Weiler, Dickinson, Rose Weiler, Dickinson, Caroline Weiler, Bowman, Viola Heinle, Dickinson, Sally Slater, Hettinger, and Maggie Wandler, Hettinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe on July 12, 1978; her parents; her stepfather, Steve Heiser; her daughter, Sister Angeline Weiler; her sons-in-law, Casper Binstock and Kenny Pechtl; her great-grandson, Landon Weiler; her brothers, Joe and Nick; her infant brothers, Edward and George; and her sisters, Tillie Mack, Mary Weber and Pauline Heiser.
