Bio: Marlin W. "Pappy" Breninghouse, 97, of Brackenridge, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, peacefully at Alle-Kiski Medical Center. Marlin was born Sept. 10, 1915, in Canal Fulton, Ohio, a son of the late Mable W. (Price) and Daniel A. Breninghouse. He was the widower of Lillian (Stevick) Breninghouse, who passed in 2003. Marlin served as a Private first class in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Company B of the 308th Engineer Battalion and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received while in the European Theater. After the war, he worked as an operations manager for Bailes Truck Stop in New Castle. He is survived by his brother, Lewis N. Breninghouse, of Natrona. At Marlins' request, a private viewing was held for the family and he will be buried by his wife in Mt. Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights.
