Renner, 50, New Salem, died July 23, 1998, in Bismarck. Services will be at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Almont, with burial in Almont Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. MDT at Spangelo Funeral Home, Glen Ullin, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Larry was born Sept. 10, 1947, at Elgin, the son of Lawrence Sr. and Goldie (Stiler) Renner. He was raised and educated at Almont. He attended and graduated from Wahpeton State School of Science. He then worked for the Bridgeman Co. until 1988, when he moved to Washburn. While there he worked for the Roehrichs Hardware. He later moved to New Salem where he drove a rural mail route and was self employed in the refrigeration and air conditioning business. Larry enjoyed fishing, traveling and playing bingo. He liked spending time with his parents, nieces and nephews, and always had a joke or story to tell. His jokes and his silly side, as well as his skills and ability to help with home repairs will be missed by all. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Goldie Renner, Almont; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Donna, Bismarck; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Tharen Kilen, Mandan, Kathy and Dean Bachler, Almont, and Julie and Brad Timpe, Mandan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one brother, Thomas. Family links: Parents: Lawrence E.
