FROESE, 96, formerly of Coldwater, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 8:30 A.M. at Otterbein, St. Marys. She was born March 21, 1918 on Long Island, NY, the daughter of Arthur and Maria (Belec) Griffin. On March 21, 1943 she married Ralph W. Froese who preceded her in death. Survivors include her son Robert (Leonore Hildebrandt) Froese of Harrington, ME, her daughter Eileen (Paul) Froehlich of Ayer, MA, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her sister Barbara Hornung of Floral Park, NY. Preceding her in death were her siblings Laura Stelz, Gordon Griffin and Bill Griffin. Mrs. Froese was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. She was a homemaker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday June 30, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen with Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, OH. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Toys for Tots. Arrangements are being handled by the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and condolences to the Froese family can be left at gilberghartwigfh.com.
