Birth: Jul. 8, 1906 Hutchinson County South Dakota, USA Death: Sep. 1, 1990 Miller Hand County South Dakota, USA Robert Wagner, 84, of Miller died on Saturday, September 1, at the Hand County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 5, at the First United Methodist Church of Miller with the Rev. Richard Rinearson officiating. Burial was in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Robert Wagner was born on July 8, 1906, in Hutchinson County, South Dakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb (Lydia Maas) Wagner. He married Hulda Ulmer on December 23, 1929, at Miller and they farmed in the Miller area. They continued to live in the area following retirement in 1970. Survivors include his wife of Miller; one son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Mable Wagner, Miller; three grandsons, Rodney, Gary and Dale of Miller; one granddaughter, Lynette (Wagner) Moser of Rapid City; six great-grandchildren; three brother, Emil Wagner of Miller, Elmer Wagner of Yankton and LaVerne Wagner, Menno; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Kirschenman and Mrs. Lea Guthmiller, Yankton, and Mrs. Jake (Belva Jean) Walter of St. Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Pallbearers included Lonnie Wagner, Harlan Kirschemnam, Lloyd Guthmiller, Merle Walter, Mark Rames and Richard Joy.
