  [S927] Obituary. Edwin Thurn, 88, Bismarck, died Aug. 2, 2014, at Sanford Continuing Care, Mandan. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Wes Aardahl officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Edwin was born Nov. 18, 1925, to Christof and Katherina (Meidinger) Thurn in McIntosh County. Following his mother’s death, he was raised by Y. Adam and Dorthea Meidinger. He married Wilma Boschee on Nov. 28, 1946, in Wishek, and they had two children. He worked as a salesman for Berg Bismarck Motor Supply. He is survived by his daughter, Gayle (Dennis) Lund, Sharon; his son, Donald Thurn, Albuquerque, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Constance (Kyle) Rowe and Nathan Lund.
