Mrs Rose Fackler De Mallie Memorial Photos Flowers Edit Share Birth: Jan., 1860 Jersey City Hudson County New Jersey, USA Death: Sep. 4, 1946 Rochester Monroe County New York, USA Rose Fackler was born in January, 1860, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the middle child of John Philip Fackler and Elisabeth Spies. She was the third born of their five known children: her siblings included Elizabeth "Lizzie" (1855-1886); John Philip, Jr., (1858-1944); Leonard (1865-1941); and Robert (1867-1895). Within 5 years, the family had relocated to Rochester, New York, settling in the 9th Ward, first on Lake Avenue, then on Clarkson Street. In 1882, Rose married Isaac De Mallie, Jr., the son of Isaac De Mallie and Marie Notier. They were married on October 25, 1882, in the Holland Reformed Church of Rochester. Rose and Isaac had two sons, Arthur Robert, born in 1883, and Herbert L., born in 1885. Rose's husband Isaac died in 1917 of complications caused by appendicitis. Rose was a widow for nearly 30 years, when she died on September 4, 1946, of heart disease. She was 85 years, 7 months and 8 days of age at her death. Rose was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery on 7 September 1946.
