Schmidt, passed away this morning at her home, 701 Henry street.  Mrs. Schmidt was born Sept. 12, 1870, in Edwardsville, a daughter of Jacob and Margaret Schmitt. Her marriage to Louis Schmidt took place April 17, 1890, in this city. Surviving besides her husband are the following children: Walter, Eugene, Aloysius and Raymond Schmidt, Mrs. Gladys Kessmann of Edwardsville; Louis Schmidt, Highland, Ind.; Mrs. Margaret Calahan, Wood River; Wilbur Schmidt, Godfrey; Mrs. Evelyn Burris, Brighton; three brothers, Louis Schmitt, Sedalia, Mo., Herman Schmitt, St. Louis, Alois Schmitt, Mohamet, Ill., 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  The funeral services will be held Friday morning at the Marks Weber Funeral Home with services at the St. Boniface Catholic Church at 9 a.m.  Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.Pallbearers were Fred Talleur, Louis Werner, William and Michael Schmidt, R. Saville and Joe DiCarlo.
