Birth: Jul. 24, 1930 Hurdsfield Wells County North Dakota, USA Death: May 19, 1999 Carrington Foster County North Dakota, USA The Bismarck Tribune, 19 May 1999 HURDSFIELD -- Rosella Weippert, 68, Hurdsfield, died May 19, 1999, in the Carrington hospital. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday, both at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Rosella Schmitt was born on July 24, 1930, on the family farm north of Hurdsfield. Rosella was the daughter of John and Pauline (Faul) Schmitt. She attended rural school in Crystal Lake Township near her farm home. At the age of 12, she moved with her family to Darby, Mont. There she attended the Charlotte's Heights school. She lived there until she married Edwin Weippert on March 9, 1950, at Chaseley. They farmed near Chaseley and later moved to a farm southeast of Hurdsfield where they continued to farm. Edwin died on May 3, 1986. She moved into Hurdsfield in 1994. She was currently employed by the Fourth Corporation in Fessenden as a residential technician at a group home there. Her hobbies included reading and growing flowers. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tom and Nadine, Cando, and Corey, Bismarck; two daughters and sons-in-law, Candis and Orville Hatch, Hurdsfield, and Becky and Jay Oster, Des Moines, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, John, Hurdsfield, Glen, Magazine, Ark., Jerry, Hamilton, Mont., and Elmer, Libby, Mont.; and four sisters, Leona Baumbach, Hurdsfield, Gertrude Berg, Minot, Esther Rennaker, Billings, Mont., and Alice McCrossin, Hamilton, Mont. Rosella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Michael; and one brother, Al.
